2023 - acrylic on canvas - 48” x 48” - 122 x 122 cm
The CROSSROADS series is a visual meditation on the nature of human connection. Each painting unfolds as a web of paths and choices, encounters and partings—a landscape of lives that cross, diverge, and converge in ways both subtle and profound. Through an interplay of lines, and intersections, the series captures the invisible threads that weave people together, marking each canvas with the essence of shared and solitary journeys.
Faintly visible lines are like fleeting encounters, passive interactions, and missed opportunities. Bolder more dominant lines embody people that left an indelible mark, their influence powerful, their presence transformative event if finite in time. Whether continuous or severed, smooth or jagged, each line tells a story.
The series as a whole suggests the complexity of human connection—an intricate dance of chance and choice, proximity and distance. Each canvas is a unique crossroad, reminding viewers of the lives that have touched their own, sometimes enriching, sometimes turbulent, but always shaping the larger tapestry of existence.
CROSSROADS invites reflection on the nature of relationships, of paths taken and paths missed, of lives lived in proximity yet with different directions. It is a study of presence and absence, of impact and transience, a reminder that our journeys are intertwined in ways we sometimes barely perceive and don’t always fully appreciate in the moment.
